What is Black Onyx Concepts Ltd?
You have likely seen us making the occasional social media post about Black Onyx Concepts, but who are they? And why are we talking about them?
Who are they?
Black Onyx Concepts Ltd is a UK-based security and risk management company formed by former Royal Marine Lee Sheldon, delivering contracts nationally for a variety of large, well-recognised companies as well as smaller, more bespoke clients. Their foundation is built on the Royal Marine Corps values and ethos, adapted for a civilian environment and applied to everything they do. This has helped launch the company into the success that it is today with a strong and committed workforce who are making waves in the security industry.
Lee Sheldon told us a little more about his company -
“As a bespoke risk management company, our aim was to build a strong and professional management team, as this is the fundamental element to any successful company. From there, we would develop the company ethos, the standards and ultimately the identity of Black Onyx and all those who worked under our care & guidance. We believe we have now obtained that goal.
Working alongside other professional operators, we all hold the same drive to get the job done, in a professional and discreet manner. Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision - The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organisational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. We are in an industry where results are key - and our results don’t lie.”

What does it have to do with Sunray?
The team behind Sunray have had the privilege of calling Lee a friend since working on his company's first promotional video. With the success of Black Onyx Concepts ever-growing, Lee put a huge amount of faith in us and made a significant investment in Sunray to ensure we were able to bring this incredible adventure to life and to your screens. Lee’s generosity did not stop there, as he has been on hand throughout production to see how we’re doing and offer advice and a friendly ear.
Black Onyx Concepts is also a proud member of the Armed Forces Covenant, counting a considerable number of veterans under their employment. The company has a strong belief in supporting veterans and giving back to the armed forces community. They have also been accepted as part of the National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA). An alliance of public, private and voluntary organisations in England who care about suicide prevention and are willing to take individual and collective action to reduce suicide and support those bereaved or affected by suicide. Black Onyx Concepts hopes to de-stigmatise mental health and suicide and encourage vulnerable people to seek help whenever they can, in a safe and comfortable environment.
