We are thrilled to announce that SUNRAY will make its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on August 17, 2024. The film will be showcased in the ‘Midnight Madness’ category, alongside the world premiere of ‘Alien: Romulus’ and ‘The Substance’ starring Demi Moore.

As we reflect on our journey over the past few years, we acknowledge that the road to completing this project has been longer than anticipated. Nevertheless, we're thrilled to say that we're now firmly in the final phases of this whirlwind of a project.

We are thrilled to announce a pivotal milestone in Sunray’s journey. We've formed a partnership with Film-Seekers, a prominent distributor, to bring Sunray to audiences across the globe. This collaboration was unveiled at the American Film Market (AFM), marking a significant stride towards sharing our film internationally.

Even before consulting Mark, as a team, we considered what Sunray would be like as a feature film but this confirmed our suspicions and we have acted. We are now proud to announce that Sunray will now be a 2 hour long feature film instead of a 3 episode series.

2022, where did you go?

Looking back on a busy period for Sunray we finished our principal filming early in the year and jumped head-first into post-production. This has been a beast of a task! Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were left with only two of the team to edit, sound design, colour grade and add visual effects to the whole series, tasks which are usually covered by a much larger team. This all has to be done alongside full-time employment which has caused a few unexpected delays. But rest assured, the end is in sight!

Thank you for sticking with us on what has been a very long and exciting project for us all! We appreciate that our updates are few and far between, our progress is slow but steady and not always particularly update worthy. However, that being said, we are over the moon with the quality that we have achieved so far. Sunray is really coming together now.

You have likely seen us making the occasional social media post about Black Onyx Concepts, but who are they? And why are we talking about them?

It's been a while but Sunray is still very much happening and we are still working hard in the background. So, where are we at? Episode 1 is currently very close to picture lock with a runtime sitting at around 50 minutes (before credits), we aim to have this in place in the next week

As we say goodbye to 2021 and bring in the new year we just wanted to say a huge thank you to all our backers and supporters this past year. Our Kickstarter journey began just before 2021 and it has been an incredibly busy and exciting year bringing this project to life.

Chase scene planned, talent prepped, locations ready, crew stoked, No vehicles. SHIT! Luckily Land Rover came charging to our rescue, overnight providing us with their new Discovery and Range Rover.

“Has anyone got a knife” was a common request from the crew on the Sunray set and it wasn’t always for underwater knife fighting or keeping an actor in check.

As we begin Block 3 of production of the Sunray saga it has given us time to briefly reflect on the first block which seems like something of a decade ago. It happened and we survived, just.

We drill to failure. We train as we fight or in this case we train as we act. Bringing together the ECHO team and other key members of the cast we had a common goal; Education.

Hearing the words that we had written being read back to us by professional actors was a surreal experience.
